Thayer Stamper
Senior Pastor
Thayer serves as senior pastor at Gateway Community Church in Pikeville, NC. He and Amy, and their four daughters, Julia, Bailey, Madi, and Avery have been in NC since 1996 and at Gateway since its founding in 2006.
He enjoys good books, college football (especially the Clemson Tigers), and hanging out with family and friends. His purpose, in life and ministry, is to point modern people to real life in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amy Stamper
Preschool/Children's Ministries Director
Amy has been married to Thayer since 1995, and they have 4 very active daughters. She has been in ministry for the past 16 years with formal training in Biblical Counseling. Children's Ministry is her passion and she desires to see children come to ask Jesus to be the leader of their lives.
Her favorite place to be is on the beach with her family - and if she can grab a nap, it's even better!
Kevin Gardner
Associate Pastor
Kevin serves to see the word of Christ dwell richly in the weekly gathering and discipleship so that the image of Christ is formed in the people of God. He oversees weekly services and serves the church through pastoral ministry.
Kevin and his wife, Brittani, enjoy the local life with their son, Houston, but also love a good road trip to an adventurous destination!
Billiejean Rogers
Guest Services Coordinator/Business Manager
Billiejean Rogers serves as Financial Secretary and Guest Services Coordinator for Gateway Community Church. She has been married to Ray Rogers since 1990. They have two sons, Alexander and Logan. They are a military family, have lived in Goldsboro since 2003, and have served at GCC since its founding.
When not serving the church, Billie Jean works as a Personal Trainer and enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. She uses every opportunity to bring people closer to God and serve Him in all ways.
Adam Flumerfelt
Student Pastor
Adam serves as the student pastor at Gateway Community Church in Pikeville,NC. He is married to his wife Terry and has a stepdaughter named Desirae. He has lived in North Carolina since 2006 and is originally from California. Adam has been a member of Gateway community church since 2015.
He enjoys playing basketball, exercise, and reading books. Adam enjoys sharing his face with others and has a passion to see the youth built up in Christ.

EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM
Gateway Community Church is shepherded by a plurality of vocational and nonvocational elders who oversee the church and work together to fulfill Christ’s mission for the local church. This includes our pastors (who serve vocationally) and the Executive Leadership Team (who serve nonvocationally) and are responsible for accountability and governance at Gateway.
