Gateway Community Church is shepherded by a plurality of vocational and nonvocational elders who oversee the church and work together to fulfill Christ’s mission for the local church. This includes our Pastoral Team (who serve vocationally) and the Executive Leadership Team (who serve non-vocationally and are responsible for accountability and governance at Gateway). We are Historic-Baptist in our doctrine of the church: a gathered body of regenerate believers, baptized upon profession of faith, locally autonomous under Christ, and governed by biblically qualified elders.

Deacons at Gateway Community Church serve to alleviate and assist the pastoral burden of caring for the flock of God. Practically, deacons lead the whole church in meeting one another’s needs and promoting health and unity within the church as we all strive to love one another.
